Chaos Walking is an upcoming Action directed by Doug Liman and written Patrick Ness "Chaos Walking" the new film from the director of Edge of Tomorrow, finally has a trailer and takes us to a futuristic world in which there are no women left, at least until Daisy Ridley appears to turn things upside down. The film took years to be finished, but it is finally ready and we will see it in 2021. Chaos Walking stars Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley (yes, Spider-Man and Rey from Star Wars), and Doug Liman directs the adaptation of the popular Patrick Ness book series, also featuring Nick Jonas and Mads Mikkelsen who is rumored to be the next Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts films.
As if that were not enough, Chaos Walking Liman chose Charlie Kaufman as one of the writers of this ambitious project that began in 2017 and it took them a few years to be able to perform the way they wanted. In the story, the characters have the ability to see each other's thoughts, which was one of the team's challenges in trying to bring the book to the screen. At one point, the Wall Street Journal even quoted a Lionsgate insider who deemed the film's first cut terrible, but executive director Jon Feltheimer was hopeful for the film, saying that we wouldn't be filming anymore if we didn't believe that we could make this movie work.
Principal photography commenced on March 15, 2019 in Los Angeles, United States and concluded on May 20, 2019. The film is set for release on January 22, 2021.
